It is your responsibility to advise Southside Pilates and its instructors of any known medical conditions or injuries that need to be taken into consideration when exercising.
Once you enrol in your first class, Southside Pilates will email a medical clearance form. The medical clearance form prompts you to disclose any known medical conditions or injuries and, if appropriate, may require you to seek medical clearance from your GP before attending your first class. Please complete this form before attending your first class at Southside Pilates. If you do not receive this form, please contact Southside Pilates to advise you have not received the medical clearance form.
Southside Pilates instructors must hold the necessary qualifications to teach Pilates. Southside Pilates instructors must always have current First Aid and CPR certifications to provide basic first aid. With that being stated, Southside Pilates instructors are not trained medical professionals and do not diagnose or treat medical conditions or injuries, as this is outside their scope of practice. Participating in any exercise at our studios with a medical condition is done entirely at your own risk.
Southside Pilates endeavours to provide you with a safe environment, but you acknowledge that Southside Pilates can't anticipate all potential risks and complications associated with participating in a Pilates class.
Please be aware Pilates classes may use tactile and physical adjustment to ensure Southside Pilates clients correctly perform a movement. Southside Pilates respects your right to feel comfortable at all times, and you need only advise the instructor that you do not consent to tactile or physical adjustments during a class if you wish to withdraw your consent.
Southside Pilates is not liable for loss or damage to the personal belongings you bring into the studio. We suggest you only bring what is necessary to participate in a class. Any items Southside Pilates clients may leave behind will be kept in lost property for eight weeks. After this period, they will be disposed of.
